My mother was Czech and my maternal grandmother’s maiden name was Vasilchik. When I was growing up, the worst thing in the world was to be called a Bohunk - we didn't want anyone to know where we were from. Ironic that, after spending so many years trying to be someone else and then spending more years trying to find myself, I learn that my heritage has become "hip". My definition of the Bohemian lifestyle is "live and let live". Thanks for making me proud to be a "Bohunk", Meg! I’m half Bohemian!
